It’s been a jam-packed May schedule for the membership of Local S-6 and the department’s command staff.

For the first time in recent memory, our annual FAA ARFF live burn shifted from June back into May and went off without any injuries. All members are now current in their certifications and summer fun can commence!

This past Friday 19th May, we officially celebrated three of our members successfully completing their probationary year, the 2022 recipient of the Jon D. Kauffmann award, the inauguration of the newly-minted Chief’s Commendation Award, the official badging of Jake Ross as Fire Inspector and finally, we said goodbye to one of our members who’s off to greener pastures across the river.

Needless to say, there’s so much to be grateful for within our ranks. Keep up the great work and Godspeed!
