In mid-March, Local S-6 membership was contacted by Saint Paul Fire Local 21 on behalf of Mark Allen at Chaplain Ministries International concerning a memorial plaque for Jon Kauffmann. Over the course of several weeks, a design was put together honoring our fallen brother and was then hand-delivered on Tuesday 1st June. A difficult surprise to keep, but worth it when presented to the membership at the June union meeting last Saturday. Eventually, it will find its forever home... but until then it will be in the safe keeping of Jon's closest Airport Fire friends. Godspeed Jon and know we miss you everyday.
