Aaron Michael Joslin, son of Ken Joslin and Audrey Graetz Joslin, was born July 15, 1980, in Edina, Minnesota.

His elementary education included schools in Minnesota, Texas, France, and home school.  He graduated high school in 1998 from the International Christian Academy in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa. In 2009, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and in 2011, a Master’s degree in Security Technologies, both from the University of Minnesota.

In August of 2002, he married Jori Anderson. One son, Hugo, was born to this union in 2006. In 2007, they took up residence in St Paul, MN. Aaron worked his entire career in security and emergency communications. For the last 5 years he was employed by the Metropolitan Airport Commission.

Aaron was a collector. He didn’t believe in doing things half-heartedly or in part. Among the things he collected were music, coins, stamps, books, combinatorial puzzles (Rubik's cubes) and Lego. Research on any given topic was extensive and exhaustive and resulted in his becoming an “aficionado” on those subjects.

Aaron always had numerous projects that he was working on. Many hours were spent researching before “adventuring”.  Adventures took him into many states and even China. His interests included cheese makers, historical sites in the State of Minnesota, waterfalls, craft beer breweries, museums and odd places such as could be found on roadsideamerica.com. Many of his adventures ended the day at a campsite, which he loved.

He experimented with the culinary arts of making sushi and pickling vegetables such as beans and asparagus.

He passed away December 9, 2019, after a two-year battle with stage four soft tissue cancer. He is survived by his wife Jori and son Hugo of St Paul, Minnesota; parents Ken and Audrey Joslin of Boyceville, Wisconsin; brother Isaac Joslin and wife Laura, niece Madeleine and nephew Maxiel of Tempe Arizona; sister Hannah Eagleton and husband Ruben, niece Nina of Reston, Virginia; as well as extended family members.

A Celebration of Life will be held in memory of Aaron on January 5, 2020, at the Blackstack Brewery from 1-4 pm in St Paul, MN. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Minnesota State Parks via this link:   ‘Give in Memory Now’

Aaron will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Tiffany Cemetery, Boyceville, WI when the weather warms.
